I'm a British trained, BPS Chartered, Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Psychologist (C. Psychol.) specialising in the psychological treatment of adults. I'm also a 'Checked Expert', listed on the Register of Expert Witnesses.
I hold a Bsc. (Hons) in Psychology from the University of London and have been awarded a Psych.D in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Psychology by the University of Surrey. I've had postdoctoral specialist training in Neuro-Psychological Testing at the Institute of Neurology (University of London), specialist psychological training in the treatment of Personality Disorders in the USA and in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the UK. Currently, I'm employed by the NHS, as a Lead Psychologist for both a Psychological Care in the Community team and a DBT team.
I specialise in preparing Neuro-psychological and legal reports in the context of family, employment and criminal law. These are prepared for the legal profession, insurance companies, local authorities and employee assistance programs, but can also be prepared for individuals. Further details of these services are found under the heading Legal reports.
Therapeutically I specialise in the treatment of trauma and various adult psychological disorders. My approach is integrative, phenomenological and client centred. That is, I aim to understand my clients' needs, situation and aims and offer interventions tailored to their individual circumstances. Rather than follow a fixed formula, these interventions draw on the various techniques and strengths I have acquired, to offer an approach tailored to the client rather than the theory. For further information please look under Therapy.
All services can be provided at either my East London or Shenley, Hertfordshire, premises or nationwide by prior arrangement.
